Sha'Carri Richardson Tosses Wig Before Winning Friday's Race At U.S. Track Championships

Sha'Carri Richardson put on a show for the crowd at this year's U.S. track and field championships before her race even started.

As Richardson's name was being called for the 100-meter race, she took off her bright orange wig and tossed it away.

Richardson then unveiled her long braids, much to the delight of the crowd at Hayward Field.

Then, just a few moments later, Richardson won the women's 100-meter face with an impressive time of 10.82.

Following the win on Friday night, Richardson let her fans know that she's all the way back from her doping violation.

"Now, I stand here with you again and I'm ready, mentally, physically and emotionally," Richardson said. "I'm here to say, 'I'm not back, I'm better.'"

It certainly sounds like Richardson is pleased with the way she's performing this season.

Richardson will have the chance to make some noise at the world championships in August.
