Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players are creating TIE Fighters now

Players of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have taken their creativity to new heights by crafting genuine TIE Fighters.

As first discovered by The Gamer, the Hyrule Engineering subreddit witnessed an impressive feat last week. A player managed to construct the iconic TIE Fighters from the Star Wars universe within the game. They achieved this by ingeniously utilizing flat, thin panels and multiple fans. These components are cleverly controlled by a single steering stick, while Link occupies a cockpit-like section in the center.

However, there’s a small technique involved with these “panels.” While they cannot be directly attached to weapons or shields using the Fuse ability, players have found a workaround. The panels can be detached from Autobuild creations without disappearing (a recurring frustration experienced by Tears of the Kingdom players), and then combined using the Ultrahand tool.

It’s truly remarkable to witness the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the players in bringing Star Wars elements into the world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

“I have to admit, it took me way longer than I’d like to admit to maneuver my way out of there!” remarks the TIE Fighter pilot in response to a user’s observation about flying out of a spherical object resembling the Death Star. Indeed, it would likely be quite a challenge to navigate a relatively small opening in the center of a rotating sphere with a substantial creation like this.

Regrettably, this TIE Fighter lacks functional weaponry. However, one could probably attach a couple of beam emitters on either side of the vehicle without compromising its integrity. Of course, even without additional firepower, the creation itself remains incredibly impressive.
